
Who We Are
Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre – RULAAC is a non-governmental and not-for-profit national human rights advocacy organisation with headquarters in Lagos. It is committed to promoting law enforcement accountability, transparent and responsible policing and adherence to the rule of law in law enforcement actions.
RULAAC carries out its mandate through monitoring, research and investigations; documentation and publications, and networking and partnering with other non-governmental organizations and relevant government agencies, in its campaigns and advocacy for police reform and the institutionalization of the due process of law.
Founded in 2018 and registered in 2019 with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), RULAAC has a 5-member Board of Trustees comprising eminent Nigerian citizens.
Although RULAAC is a relatively young and growing organization with a core staff strength of 5 at the moment, in addition to some volunteers and interns, its key operators are well-known, reputable and experienced actors in the human rights and development sector in Nigeria.
